Alagiah has been with the BBC for over 10 years. He began working with the network in 2007, and ever since, he has been a presenter of the BBC News at Six. Apart from being the face of the six o’clock show, he is also the host on GMT on BBC World News. He is also the relief presenter for the Ten O’clock News as well. Before his career in the news industry, he worked for the magazine South Magazine. His annual salary is around $300,000.

John Humphrys
Humphrys has a reputation for being robust and straight forward, traits that some try to stray away from. He has worked with the BBC since 1980, but his news career started way back in the 1960s. The first job he’s had in the news industry was with a Wales-based news network, TWW. His career took off due to him being one of the first reporters on the scene during the 1966 Aberfan Disaster. His salary is currently around £650,000.
