Being Inspired
Listening to the trumpeting sounds of his family, the baby elephant seemed to find inspiration. He decided that he would give another try to climbing out of the hole! The baby kicked and pushed as hard as he could, trying to find any kind of slope to help him get out of his muddy grave. Unfortunately, it was an impossible task. He slipped and slumped back into the hole, and the herd let out another round of thunderous trumpets.

Hearing the Commotion
With all of the loud trumpeting that was going on, the local residents knew that something was wrong. They only heard this sound when the elephants were in serious distress of some kind. They could hear the sounds from far away, and they wondered where it was coming from. Clearly, there was a herd somewhere on the horizon that needed assistance, and they weren’t going to stop trumpeting until help was on the way. Was anyone going to do something about this?
