What You Need

-spool of jute twine

-14 inch round mirror

-painter’s tape

-nails

What To Do

Start out by tracing the circumference of the mirror on the wall in the area when you want the mirror to hang. Make sure you do this in pencil, and mark the center. Divide the circle into 16 equal sections and mark the point where the line meets the circle. Number the painter’s tape pieces from 1-16 and mark off each point with a number, moving in clockwise rotation and continuing in numerical order.

At point 1, measure a 16-inch line vertically out. You can use a yardstick to help, and then mark the end with a point. Move to point 2 and measure a 12-inch line, then mark the end. Continue for every numbered circle point, alternating between 12 and 16 inches. Mark the outer points with numbered pieces of painter’s tape from 17 until 32, with number 17 at the center top and then continue in numerical order going clockwise. Then hammer nails into all of the points.

Wrap the twine around the nails following this guide. Start with a knot at the starting nail and ending with a knot and cutting the twine once the last nail is reached. Starting with nail 25, wrap around nails 11, 29, 15, 17, 3, 21, and 7, ending at 25.

Then start at nail 26, wrap the twine around 12, 30, 16, 18, 4, 22, 8, and end at 26. Next start at nail 27 and wrap the twine around 13, 21, 1, 19, 5, 23, and 9, finally ending at 27. Starting at 28, wrap around 14, 32, 2, 20, 6, 24, 10 and end at 28.

Start at nail 25 and wrap around nails 9, 26, 10, 27, and 11. Continue this pattern alternating between the inner and outer nails moving in a clockwise direction until you’re back to 25. Now skip nail 9 and wrap it around 10, 26, 11, and 27, once again continuing the pattern until you’re back at nail 10. Lastly, moving clockwise, wrap the twin around each inner nail in a clockwise direction until you finish the circle at nail 9.

Adhere two large picture hanging strips on the back side of the mirror. Now you can adhere the mirror onto the wall and enjoy.
